Community information sessions
We invite you to come along to a community information session and hear a short presentation about the project and what we've been working on, talk with our team and share your feedback and ideas.

Join our Community Advisory Group
We're recruiting a new member of our Community Advisory Group, a representative from the Foster area.
The Community Advisory Group was established in 2020 to share information, answer questions and seek local advice. As part of the Community Advisory Group members share project information with their local networks and pass on any feedback to the project.

Offshore wind progress for Victoria
It's been a big month for offshore wind, with new commitments from State and Federal governments to develop offshore wind in Victoria.
The Federal Government announced its Rewiring the Nation Plan will fast-track Victorian Renewable Zones and offshore wind.
This was followed by Victoria’s Offshore Wind Implementation Statement, which sets out the next steps to establish a local offshore wind industry.
Sharing project benefits with the community
We love being part of the Gippsland community and want to be a good neighbour, including by supporting local communities with a benefit sharing program if the project goes ahead.

Take a 'virtual tour' of the project
While we’re still working to select a turbine model and design the wind farm layout, this video gives an early idea of what the wind farm could look like in different weather conditions and times of day from Port Albert, McLoughlins Beach and Woodside Beach.
It shows the project built to it's maximum capacity of 2.2GW. At this size, Star of the South would deliver clean energy to around 1.2 million homes and create hundreds of long-term local jobs.

Meet a Gippslander leading change
We love seeing Gippslanders making positive change in the community.
This year we funded a scholarship for the Gippsland Community Leadership Program which went to Joey from South Gippsland.
Participants in the program work on a group project to benefit Gippsland. Joey and her group saw a gap in youth mental health services and focused their project on promoting good mental health across schools by collaborating with regional health promotion charity Live4Life.
Together, they’re working with 40 Year 9 students in South Gippsland and Bass Coast to connect kids with nature for improved mental health.
Joey was excited about the opportunity to make real change. “Thanks to the program and Star of the South, I’ve been able to give back to the community in ways I would not have been able to do otherwise".
